I’m not one for spending to much time not doing a great deal. I like being active, I like being out and about. I like to build things whether it’s a new website for a client or for the business.
Hi everyone, Robert, with another instalment in his Flipping the Script series.
However, often when we’re all busy working we get caught up doing the thing whilst our biggest supporters can only sit and watch and give us the time and space we need to build our empires.
This weekend I, my fiancée and family made the 410 mile trip to Torquay to celebrate my sons 11th birthday.
We had all managed to keep it a secret from him, until today and honestly I couldn’t have asked for a bigger smile on that face than what I saw today.
I talk a lot about working hard and pushing yourself, doing one more set on a workout or spending a bit longer on the project. But honestly don’t get caught up doing the work, so much that you forget to also make time for those that love and support you.
A special shout-out to my son Edward who turned 11 on Friday and who makes me proud everyday. Keep going mate.
To my fiancée for driving the 410 miles to Torquay, and who supports me in everything I do. Whether it’s running 34 miles or working. Thank you, I love you always.
To my family, thank you all for coming and making it an extra special day for Edward.
So if you know you’re starting to neglect some of your biggest supporters, Christmas is fast approaching and putting some time aside to spend with them and remind yourself why you’re working so hard will make a major difference to both your mindset and also those around you.
