At the end of my last quarter I decided I’d delete all none essential domain names from the pool, this was to avoid any temptation of renewing them.

Total Saved on Domain renewals: £295.66
Redundant App
For the better part of 3/4 years I have been renewing an app that I used to report on the weather. The cost of the app renewal on annual bases was £17.49.
This year is the first year that I have not renewed it, and have removed it from my smartphone device. Saving an additional £17.49 for the year.
It is surprising just what you sign up for and to.
WebsiteDesignCon.com
In 2022, I have plans to launch a brand new conference in the UK, simply called the Website Design Conference, details will be emerging over the next 12 months, watch this space.
So I have registered webdesigncon.co.uk and webdesigncon.com.
I’m looking forward to sharing more details about the conference over the coming months.
Redirects with or without www
Good news you can now reach this website by going to either rhaylor.com or www.rhaylor.com.
Both methods will now bring you right here, this is following a 301 redirect setup with our Cloudflare servers.
VPS Gone
This quarter has also seen the removal of rhaylor.com from a VPS server environment over to a shared hosting package in the main pool. This has saved a further £96 for the year.
Progress is slow
Progress, they say no matter how slow, is still progress and great steps have been taken this quarter removing well over 30 domains and purchasing around 26, much of these new domains however, focus around my own personal brand.
There is still a lot of work to be done in terms of cutting costs both for the business and also for myself.
