Setting Up for Domination

2 weeks ago I wrote about turning it up a notch, the purpose was to push myself, the brand and position myself as the go to person for all things digital.

At the studio work is continuing on defining our branding position and the marketing message.

So what actions have I been taking over the past 2 weeks, what has really changed in that short period of time.

New Accounts

First off I’ve set up new accounts across a variety of channels, closed down a few old accounts and consolidated existing content.

Medium:- Prior to the 19th I wasn’t on Medium, today you can find me on there, and I have started publishing articles on the platform with the focus being on e-commerce and its future.

Blogger:- I’ve set myself up a blogger account, why not hop over and give that a look.

WordPress:- I can now be found on WordPress, many moons ago I had a WordPress account so was able to reactivate this and begin blogging on the WordPress Platform.

YouTube:- I closed down an old YouTube channel which featured videos of me playing Call of Duty Black Ops, yes I enjoy gaming here and there, and started a brand new account.

Facebook Page:- I have started a Facebook Page, but I am yet to publish it there are a few bits and pieces I want to do before I launch this. This has recently been published.

Twitter:- I’m a huge fan of twitter, and I practically live on the social network. I’ve upped my posting from 2-3 times a day to 5/6 times a day – which isn’t a massive increase when you look at it.

Publicity

I featured on the Inside Devon Podcast this month, it was great to be interviewed on this new and local podcast in Devon.

Increase in visitors

I’m tracking the number of visitors that are coming to the website, from the stats it’s clear traffic has gone up, which is great to see.

However, a high bounce race, and less than a second being spent on the site is not that encouraging.

I think what the site is majorly missing is a design, a purpose, and a very clear marketing message that is going to grab the audiences attention.

New rhaylor Domains

I am still committed to decreasing the number of domains that I own, however I have registered a variety of other domains for this website including:

  1. rhaylor.co.uk
  2. rhaylor.uk
  3. rhaylor.org
  4. rhaylor.biz
  5. rhaylor.co
  6. rhaylor.net
  7. rhaylor.mobi
  8. rhaylor.info

Some of these domains I’ve redirected others are parked for future use.

Twitter Stats after 2 weeks of posting more

I’ve increased the number of times I post on twitter, it is by no means anywhere near the levels I used to post on a previous handler so this does need to go up a little further.

The profile visits have gone up, so too has the number of followers. I’ve set the target to grow my handler to 10,000 followers within the next 12 months – no easy feat for someone who is relatively unknown.

Contact Me

I’ve also setup an email account for the website so you can get in contact with me, if you’d like to. There is a contact formfor you to do that.

I aim to reply to all emails within 48 hours, so please bear with me if you’ve not had an instant reply.
