20. Reflection and Vision

Hey everyone, this Robert Haylor back with another post in the Flipping the Script blogging series.  With it being Christmas, the fridge is currently stocked with left over turkey, Christmas pud and a range of creams to choose from.  I’d imagine a few households can relate to this similar scene.

Around this time of year I start to think about the New Year, the goals for the New Year, the vision for both myself, the agency and kind of where I see things going within the next 12 months.  I’ll most likely sit down and pull together an agency update which will contain the main goals for 2025, along with other key metrics.

Reflection is another thing that I’ll often do, analyse what went well for the agency, and where improvements can be made.  In the back of my head I’ve got this constant voice that is simply saying action, there needs to be more activity from the agency.

Posting on social media is one thing, however this is a long term strategy.  Whilst it will provide brand recognition, there is no saying it will generate leads or business for the agency.  This is kind of where the strategy needs to be looked at in more detail.

I’ve spoken previously that traffic is coming to both the agency website, this website, but conversions are low.  Understanding why conversions are low is vital.  Alongside that, I’ve fallen off the bandwagon with providing new resources to my existing clients, something that I want to rectify in the first quarter of 2025.

Looking at ways to improve the agency in 2025 is important.

Turning ideas into action

The whole point of this series was to begin stopping the talking and picking up the doing, then writing about what’s been achieved.

This evening I’ve set-up a microphone and stand I was bought as a Christmas present by my fiancee.  I do have a plan in mind for these, the launch of a new podcast, more on that over the next couple of weeks.

So far we have an event planned for the 7th of January as a starting point, and then a range of events coming up throughout 2025.

Posting on social media will continue throughout 2025 and will also spend sometime working out where all of these bits and pieces marry up.

What’s one of your goals for 2025?  I’d love to hear them, add them to the comments below.
