Woke-up early, 5am, normal start. Do I run today? Not feeling it at all.
I got up, put on some sweats and went out for a leisurely 5km.
Pain in the heels, that will go off once I’ve warmed up.
Body felt heavy, lethargic and just generally hideous. Sign of a weekend spent at the bottom of the junk food trough supported by a piss poor sleep schedule. Why do I keep doing this to myself?
Ended the run at 1km.
Not every run is going to be your best run.
Not every run is going to give you a personal best.
Not every run is going to be a 5k or even a 10k.
What matters is you showed up and went anyway.
Work this morning, need to get ready for the day ahead.
Managed 1km on my run this morning, will finish it off this evening after work.
Updated my food diary and blog, thought I’d try a new style of writing and rather than long paragraphs, short sentences of rambling thoughts.
Update: 22:04
Got a lunchtime walk in, always good to be out in the sun, I love it especially in the Summer.
Gym after work, jumped onto the treadmill to finish off this mornings run.
Trying to workout how to use my Garmin Fenix 7 is taking some getting used to. I had an Apple iWatch for over 7/8 years, so moving onto Garmin has been a bit of a steep learning curve. I love the Fenix 7 for its GPS, navigation, sleep tracking and vast amount of metrics. I don’t even think I’ve tapped into what it can fully do.
Completed my run, just goes to show that it wasn’t a bad run, just a delayed one.
